Fundraising Effort Launched by DIFFA

NEW YORK — Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) has announced the launch of “DIFFA BY DESIGN,” an annual fundraiser that has been transformed into a three-day immersive design experience.

The fundraising effort, aimed at assisting individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, is scheduled to take place March 26-29 in New York, DIFFA officials said. The three-day event will feature myriad installations, a cash-and-carry boutique featuring luxury home accessories, original art and a series of interactive workshops led by leading designers and architects, the organization added.

“2020 is the start of a significant new decade, one in which cities across the country –  including our home base of New York City – are working to end the AIDS epidemic through preventative care,’ said DIFFA Executive Director Dawn Roberson.

“We see this as a pivotal moment to take action and to call attention to those organizations that provide treatment, direct care services and preventive education programs,” Roberson added. “Design is a powerful tool and, in this instance, it’s a call to action to help make a difference for those affected by HIV/AIDS.”
