ATLANTA, GA — FEI Group recently hosted its 21st Annual Conference at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, breaking previous attendance records. The organization is parent company to Home Solutions by FloorExpo, MultiFamily Solutions by FloorExpo, KBx and K&B Alliance and supports cabinet, countertop, DPH and flooring business owners by offering supplier buying programs and rebates, brand marketing, best practices, business insurance, national business programs and benchmarking.
This event’s theme, Gratitude, reflected FEI Group’s emphasis on positivity and an attitude of gratitude, concepts at the heart of a successful business culture, the organization believes.
Supply partners such as MasterBrand, Daltile, Whirlpool, Amerock and The Stock Market attended the three-day event. Industry speakers Robb Best, senior advisor of Cognitive Strategy for Elkay; Jason McNeely, senior manager Visual Marketing and Training, Hansgrohe North America; Heather Argo, national trainer, acpi, and others covered topics ranging from selling luxury and motivating a team to the life cycle of design trends.
Brian Penabad, v.p. of Kitchen and Bath for FEI Group, stated, “I felt like this year’s theme resonated with so many of our members. Some were surprised to learn an employee appreciation survey by Glassdoor indicated that more than half of employees admit they would stay longer at their company if they felt more appreciation from their boss.”
In addition to presentations and networking events, FEI Group hosted a party for nearly 600 people on the hotel property, and over 100 attendees played the PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass.
“FEI Group captured the genie in the bottle,” remarked supply partner Shain Hamilton, regional sales manager, Richelieu. “This year’s event was the best experience for us to date. There was enough time not only to see every customer but also to have in-depth conversations with them. This kind of one-on-one time is invaluable from a manufacturer’s perspective.”
The 2020 FEI Group National Conference is scheduled to be held September 30 through October 2 at the Hyatt Regency Seattle in Seattle, WA.
