CARLSTADT, NJ — The Pantone Color Institute has named Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue as its Color of the Year 2020. “Instilling calm, confidence and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era,” notes Pantone. The institute describes it as “a restful color, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge.”
Pantone’s color experts choose the Color of the Year by reviewing new global color influences from areas such as entertainment, art, fashion, design, lifestyles and socio-economic conditions, as well as new technologies, materials and textures.
