A new award is coming to the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, and it focuses on the environmental side of design. The National Kitchen & Bath Association is teaming up with Renovation Angel for the First Annual Luxury Kitchen Recycling Awards.
Categories for the awards include:
Achievements in Luxury Recycling
Most valuable kitchen donated
Best ultra-luxury kitchen
Most upcycled kitchens from one firm
Achievements in Repurposed Kitchen Design
Small kitchen project (up to 250 sq. ft.)
Medium kitchen project (251-750 sq. ft.)
Large kitchen project (751 sq. ft. and up)
The contest is free to enter, and to be eligible, a project must have been installed between January 1, 2017 and October 31, 2019. All entry packets must be received through www.renovationangel.com/awards by 6 p.m. PST, Friday, November 22.
Winners will be selected during KBIS, schedule to be held January 21-23, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In addition to these awards, the “Angel” Discretionary Award will recognize a manufacturer, designer, design or architectural firm, or showroom whose efforts to be sustainable are remarkable (going above and beyond normal efforts to recycle whether through purchases of recycled kitchens, or through scope of recycled projects).
