KNOXVILLE, TN — Braxton-Bragg, a Knoxville, TN-based supplier of tools and equipment for the countertop-fabrication trade, is continuing its goal to “complete 25 good deeds in 2019” to celebrate the company’s 25th year in business, the company stated.
Company employees have participated in a number of charitable endeavors over the course of the last several months. Early this year, employees took part in the Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless’ Empty Bowl Fundraiser to end veteran homelessness, as well as joined with the Knox Area Rescue Ministries to prepare and serve meals.
In the spring, Braxton-Bragg team members were part of a group cleaning the headstones of fallen veterans at the Knoxville National Cemetery, organized by Accord Federal Services. Employees also placed flags on the graves of fallen soldiers at two Knoxville national veteran cemeteries in honor of Memorial Day. Habitat for Humanity was next, when employees helped build a home for a local family.
Continuing the company’s 25 Good Deeds campaign into the summer, team members assembled dog toys, filled bowls and walked the animals at Young-Williams Animal Center. They followed up a few weeks later by sending a camper to Helping Hands Camp, a program for adults with special needs, through First Baptist Concord in Knoxville. The employees completed their 15th good deed with a donation to a youth sports team. They also presented a donation to the Knoxville Fire Fighters Association, and sponsored “Rods In The City” Car Show, which benefited the Tennessee Valley Coalition for The Homeless.
Fall kicked off with Braxton-Bragg’s Marketing Manager, Derek Brodka, representing the company during this year’s St. Jude Walk/Run To End Childhood Cancer at the World’s Fair Park in downtown Knoxville last month.
Additional events and charitable donations are planned for the remainder of 2019.
